Bull Run Hunt
Courtesy Bull Run HuntMay 26, 2014 - Bull Run Hunt is proud to welcome Huntsman Charles Montgomery and his wife Boo Shepard Montgomery. Charles comes to Bull Run with 31 years of experience as huntsman, 17 seasons with Whiskey Road in Aiken, SC and 14 seasons with Live Oak Hounds in Monticello, FL. Most recently he was First Whipper In to Richard Roberts at Deep Run Hunt Club, Manakin-Sabot, VA. His wife, Boo, completed her undergraduate degree at Sewanee, The University of the South and will be taking a year off to whip before going back to school for her PhD in immunology.
Bull Run would also like to welcome assistant kennelman, Dalton Cooke, age 19. Dalton is an accomplished rider and foxhunter. This is his first kennel assignment.
Charles and Boo will spend the summer working with the hounds, learning the territory, and teaching Dalton.

Glen Carter photoFive packs competed for a multitude of awards at the 2014 installation of the Central States Hound Show, presided over by judge David Raley, Huntsman for Moore County Hounds (NC).
North Hills Hunt (NE) dominated the English/Crossbred ring, with North Hills Kid Rock winning the English/Crossbred Single Dog- Entered class, in addition to being named Best Stallion Hound, Champion English/Crossbred Dog and Best Hound of Show. North Hills hounds won eight of the twelve English/Crossbred classes offered this year.
