Take a few moments to plan for a few of the annual signature events of our sport: Hunt Night at the PA National Horse Show, the Theodora A. Randolph Field Hunter Championships, the Junior North American Field Hunter Championships, and the Festival of the Hunt in Tryon, NC.
The Theodora A. Randolph Field Hunter Championships will select competitors at hunts at various northern Virginia packs the second week of October. The finals, at Glenwood Park in Middleburg, take place on October 12, are a fun leadup to the Virginia Fall Races. This year, the inaugural Dr. Matthew Page Mackay-Smith Award will be given to the highest placing Thoroughbred. For more information, click here.
The Pennsylvania National Horse Show in the state capital of Harrisburg runs from October 10-19. Save the date and order tickets now: October 14th is the prestigious Hunt Night, a chance to cheer on your favorite team and support our field hunters at one of the biggest shows in the country. Hunt Night reception tickets must be purchased in advance and are available here.
Qualifying hunts are already underway for this year's Junior North American Field Hunter Championship. Check the website and schedule to be sure your young riders have a chance to participate. The finals will be held at Middleburg on November 9.
