New York, NY – Manhattan Saddlery, New York City’s only remaining tack store, will welcome the Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA) to its retail shop on 117 East 24th Street for a Foxhunting Open House on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The event will feature a talk on the Ultimate Book of Horse Bits by Emily Esterson, Editor of Covertside Magazine and avid foxhunter, as well as informative mini-clinics and fittings by representatives from favorite foxhunting brands, including Charles Owen helmets, Stubben bits, Vogel boots, Alexander James custom hunt coats, OnTyte stirrups, and Berney Brothers saddles. Manhattan Saddlery will offer special promotions for all in attendance.
The gathering coincides with the MFHA’s Annual Meeting and Master’s Ball celebration, from January 28 to February 1, 2015.
Manhattan Saddlery traces its history back to 1912, when it opened on 24th Street as Miller Harness Company, a saddlery and equine supply business. Current owner Nick Tsang remains deeply committed to upholding and exceeding the standards of excellence set by Miller's, renovating the space and tuning the store's inventory to reflect the needs and sensibilities of modern equestrian shoppers.
The renaissance of Manhattan Saddlery’s historic building and equestrian business has included a strong marketing outreach to the foxhunting audience in the metro NYC area as well as nationally through Covertside Magazine. This special event on January 28th allows Manhattan Saddlery to showcase all of the foxhunting equipment and attire they have to offer to a captive audience of foxhunters in NYC. Tally Ho!!
