Carolinas Championship Awarded to Green Creek Hounds Bankrupt

2014carolinasDon West photoJudge Jerry Miller (MFH Iroquois Hunt) deemed Green Creek Hounds Bankrupt Grand Champion Foxhound at the Carolinas Hound Show, held May 10, 2014 in Camden, SC. On his way to being named Grand Champion Foxhound, Bankrupt was victorious in the Entered Single Dog and Entered Couple (with GCH Banker) classes, as well as being named Champion English Dog and Champion English Foxhound.

Bankrupt's sire, Why Worry Braveheart, was named Grand Champion Foxhound at the 2010 Carolinas Hound Show.

Green Creek Hounds also enjoyed further success by winning the Unentered Crossbred class with GCH Rattler GCH Rufus. as well as the Pack Class. GCH Bridgette was named Reserve Champion of the Performance class.

Toronto North York Clarence Judged Champion of Canadian Foxhound Show

Martin Scott, ex-MFH of the Vale of the White Horse, and Mason Lampton, MFH of Midland Foxhounds, awarded Toronto North York Clarence with the Grand Championship at the 60th Canadian Foxhound Show, held June 14 at Ottawa Valley Hunt Farm in Ashton, Ontario. TNY Clarence was also Champion English Foxhound. Eglinton Caledon Loyal was Reserve Champion Foxhound in addition to taking titles as Champion Crossbred Bitch and Grand Champion Crossbred.

Marlborough Hunt Prevails at Penn-Marydel Hound Show

Bethann Dixon's Momentous Call to the Post

Courtesy Goshen Hounds.Bethann Dixon, a member of Goshen Hounds, became the first woman to make the call to the post at the 139th Preakness Stakes, held at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course. Three weeks later, Bethann again wowed attendees with her bugling prowess when, for the second year in a row, she played the call to the post at the June 7, 2014 running of the Belmont Stakes. In 2013, Bethann became the first female bugler in the 146 year history of the final leg of the Triple Crown.

Golden's Bridge Phoenix Makes History at Virginia and Bryn Mawr Hound Shows

Golden's Bridge Phoenix followed up his Grand Championship at the Virginia Hound Show, held May 25 at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA, with yet another nod as top Foxhound at the 100th Bryn Mawr Hound Show, held May 30 at the Radnor Hunt Club, Malvern, PA. This marked the first time in history that a Penn-Marydel was judged to be Grand Champion Foxhound at both prestigious shows.
