The Junior North American Field Hunter Championships, which will take place October 23, 2016 in Lexington, KY, are part of an important program to encourage and recognize children who are the future leaders of our sport. This fall, young riders have been hunting with packs across the country, with mounted judges selecting those competent to continue to the finals. A full weekend of social activities, hunting, and the final competition has been organized not only to reward the top riders, but to build a sense of community and camaraderie among young foxhunters from all different areas. See the accompanying article for one judge's impressions of the entries at a qualifying meet hosted by Camargo Hunt. For more information about the program, visit www.jnafhc.com.
